Nic is a world class golfer, dad, and husband.  He is a 13-year-veteran of the Watertown, S.D. Police Department.  For eight of those years, Nic worked as a detective pursuing criminals, but in particular, those who were bringing and selling drugs in Codington County. Nic’s experience and work as a detective led to many violent criminals being incarcerated, including several murderers and many more rapists.

As he advanced, in 2013 Nic started training as a forensic investigator.  Nic forensically reviewed electronics for the Watertown Police Department and also  began assisting in the active pursuit of those who wanted to prey on children in South Dakota via the internet on the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force.  These experiences led Nic to participate as a foundational member of REACH, a multi-disciplinary approach to investigate and deal with maltreatment of children, much of which is still active today.   

Nic is excited to bring his investigative services to Turbak Law Office, P.C.’s clients, and also offer the same top-level forensic data retrieval, preservation, and analytics services to law firms and clients around the country.  This offering is not readily available to non-governmental entities because of the extraordinary cost of training, hardware, and software.
